MILLEDGEVILLE, Ill. - George David Clough, 62, of Milledgeville, Ill., and formerly of Hamilton, Ill., died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, in his home.
He was born on July 5, 1943, in Kirksville, Mo., the first son of Walter Raymond and Anna Mae Urguhart Clough.
He married Linda Fisher on Sept. 14, 1968, in Nauvoo, Ill. She survives.
Additional survivors include: a son, Sgt. Kevin David Clough of the United States Army and his wife, Gina, of Temple, Texas; a daughter, Angela Marie Clough of Los Angeles; two grandchildren, Christopher and Isabelle Clough of Temple, Texas; five siblings, Rayline Perry and her husband, Donald, of Kahoka, Mo., Paul Clough and his wife, Linda, of Hamilton, Sheila Eyster and her husband, Larry, of Quincy, Ill., Lillian Hultquist and her husband, Leslie, of Ashland, Ill., and Louis Clough and his wife, Aida, of Warsaw, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Viola Fisher of Hamilton; three sister-in-laws, Joyce Tuttle and her husband, Richard, of Hamilton, Janet Clark and her husband, Richard, of Warsaw, and Betty Thacher of Hamilton; a brother-in-law, John Fisher of Hamilton; 11 nieces, Leslie Cochran and her husband, Marc, of Hamilton, Misty Gardner and her husband, James, of Naperville, Ill., Amy Stevenson and her husband, Shawn, of Kihei, Hawaii, Brandy Cunningham and her husband, Adam, of Warsaw, Brooke Dadant and her husband, Gabe, of Hamilton, Amy, Kim and Julie Hultquist, all of Ashland, Ill., Anna and Ariel Clough of Warsaw, and Sarah Eyster of Quincy; nine nephews, Troy Perry and his wife, Tara, of Hamilton, Andy Perry and his wife, Danita, of Dubuque, Brian Clough of Littleton, Colo., Ramon Fisher and his wife, Michelle of Fort Brag, N.C., Raymond and John Clough of Warsaw, Lance, Matt and Ryan Clark, all of Warsaw, seven great-nieces, Mariah Fisher, Makena Stevenson, Savannah Stevenson, Mya Gardner, Delaney Perry, Morgan Perry and Molly Cochran; and six great-nephews, Cody Perry, Colten Perry, Bristol Perry, Ryan Cochran, Seth Cochran and William Cunningham.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1961 and attended Carthage College in Carthage, Ill. He was an elder and was very active in Community of Christ Church in Sterling, Ill. He was an accomplished photographer. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He worked as an industrial engineer, beginning his career at Sheller Globe in Keokuk, and continuing it after moving to Milledgeville in 1979. Most recently, he owned and operated Hamilton Group, working as a business consultant.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lamporte Funeral Home in Hamilton, with Elder Lee Ourth officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Visitation is today at the funeral home, with the family meeting friends between 6 to 8 p.m.
A memorial has been established.
