    • RITES HELD FOR L. Z. HISER

      L. Z. Hiser, 75, of 134 S. Silverleaf, Gladwin, died on Saturday following an illness of several days. He was born on May 5, 1883 in Tuscola county, and had been a Gladwin county resident for 33 years. Mr. Hiser was a minister at Baptist churches in Lincoln and Barton City for several years before coming to Gladwin. He operated a farm in Butman township before retiring and also did painting and decorating. On July 15, 1937 he was married to the former Mrs. Ilah May Sharp, in Gladwin.

      Survivors include his wife, Ilah; one daughter, Mrs. Isola Lenon, of Mason. One son, William Sharp, of Gladwin; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Wickware, of Palmetto, Florida, and Mrs. Chlista Wiles, of Cass City; four brothers, Floyd of Merrill, Orson and Calvin, of Caro, and Henry, of Keego Harbor.

      Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Hans J. Meyer and Rev. F. E. Voller officiating. Burial was in Highland cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 6-4/1958 Column - 6 Page - 1.
